Meet the Principal
Hello Kyrene de los Lagos Family,
The 2023-2024 school year is here! I am thrilled to begin my 4th year here at Lagos with you. I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. (Go Bengals!) However, Arizona has become home. Both of my children were born here. My husband and I spend much of our personal time watching our son (college freshman) play Division I soccer and our daughter (high school freshman) compete in All Star cheer. My core values are my faith, kindness, positivity, and transparency.
This will be my 13th year as an elementary school principal. It has always been a genuine pleasure and honor to serve others in this capacity. In addition to being a principal, I have spent numerous years working in other educational capacities, including classroom teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Ohio University and hold two master’s degrees in Elementary Education and Educational Leadership.
During my first year in Kyrene (2019), I had the privilege of overseeing the Dual Language Program at Kyrene Middle School. It was incredibly rewarding seeing the work that had been done in the elementary grades to shape and prepare our middle school students. I am honored to continue working with Dual Language students and families here at Lagos. You will be delighted by their proficiency as they progress through elementary school. Kyrene’s Dual Language framework is a remarkable pathway our students benefit from tremendously. I look forward to positively and purposefully working together with you, as we invest our time and energy in an incredibly invaluable resource - our children.
Here's to a GREAT school year!
Mrs. Felicia Williams
